Sue Frost

Sue Todd Frost – 86, of North Reading, formerly of Hyde Park, New York and Rhinebeck, New York, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Tom (Mandeville) Frost.

Born in Hyde Park, New York on May 16,1937. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Hess) Todd. Sue was a graduate of Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, New York and Russell Sage College.

Sue worked as a Public Health Nurse for the City of Poughkeepsie, New York and at the Hyde Park Central School District, Hyde Park, New York. In later years she had her own antique business in the Beekman Arms Antique Center in Rhinebeck, New York.

Sue’s greatest joy was spending time with her husband Tom, her children, step-children and grandchildren as well as her friends.  Above all else, it was so important to her that despite everyone being separated by distance, the family stay together and maintain long lasting and meaningful relationships with one another.  Year after year, she hosted numerous gatherings bringing everyone together from near and far.  Her love for her husband Tom was so profound. They were a match made in heaven and the years they spent together were certainly her most treasured and happiest moments. Sue brought joy, happiness and a sense of fun and adventure to everything and everyone.  She was loved so deeply by many.

Sue loved the outdoors in her flower and vegetable gardens. She rebuilt miles of stonewalls to preserve historical land.  She loved skiing and biking, finding, refinishing and selling antiques. She loved travel and adventure. She loved meeting people and made lasting friendships wherever she went. She loved making a difference in the lives of others and she did that in so many ways of selfless giving.

Family members include her late husband Tom (Mandeville) Frost. Her daughter, Terina Chamberlain of San Diego, CA; son Raymond Todd Chamberlain of Pleasant Valley, New York and his wife Beverly; daughters, the late Elizabeth Hess Chamberlain; Ann Chamberlain Suny, North Reading, MA and her husband Dave; Nancy Bennett Fulga, of Cauldwell, NJ;  step sons Scott Frost, Chicago, IL and Tom Frost , Santa Marcos, CA  and his wife Allison, step daughter Bentley Frost Hardwick of Pelham, NY; and her sister Karen Todd Boice of Albany, New York and her husband Ernest; and 14 Grandchildren, Bennett, Elizabeth, Matthew, Alexander, Blake, Teddy,  Sara, Daley, Bentley, Hudson, Carter, Lindsey, TJ and Luke.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
