Michelle A. (Grandchamp) Ferreira- 77, of North Reading, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Kaplan House in Danvers on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on October 31,1949, she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Marietta (Brassard) Grandchamp. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s Catholic Girls High School in Lowell, Class of 1967. She worked for American Mutual Company and as a Medical Transcriptionist at a medical office for many years. Michelle has been a resident of North Reading since 1982.
She had the biggest heart she was very heavily involved in her grandchildren ‘s lives, especially the oldest Brayden she would go with Pa to pick them up at school and spent every other Friday and Sunday with them, they were her lifeline she would do anything for anyone she loved. She loved quilting, sewing, and spending time with family, especially her two grandchildren.
Family members include her loving husband of 52 years, Cary J. Ferreira; her son, Daniel Joseph Ferreira; her daughter, Jennifer Ashley Ferreira, her brother, Mark Grandchamp, her sisters; Lisa Ozana and Natalie Bergeron; two grandchildren, Brayden Gerard Ferreira and Brandon Yuvraj Ferreira.
Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 10:30 AM at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12 from 4 to 7 PM. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
