Sheila  M. (Ewing) Hall – 70, of Lynnfield and formerly of West Peabody, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Born in Lynn, MA on August 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Doarine (Morse) Ewing. Sheila was a housewife and a resident of Lynnfield for the past 53 years.

Sheila was a founding member of Sebastian River Embroidery Guild Inc., Sebastian Quilters of Sebastian, FL and a Charter member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, Chapter No. 11.

Family members include her loving husband of 53 years, Harold Hall; her son, James Hall of Ipswich; daughters, Julie Flaherty and husband Michael of Henniker, NH and Michelle Dalelio of Lynnfield; brothers, John Robert Ewing of Ossipee, NH and Daniel Ewing of Beverly; 7 grandchildren, Jamie, Colby and Marina Hall, David Flaherty, Alex, James and Jacquelynne Dalelio and 2 great grandchildren.

Timothy J. Callahan-Of North Reading and Osterville, formerly of Reading, passed away peacefully July 7, 2017 on Cape Cod, at age 96, surrounded by his family.  Beloved husband of 57 years to Genevieve E. (Lonczak) Callahan; loving father of Timothy Callahan Jr. and his wife Marie; devoted grandfather of Julia, Timothy III, and William.  He was the brother of the late Dr. Thomas Callahan, Fr. Francis Callahan, S.J., Joseph Callahan, Helen Callahan, and Catherine Stephens.

Born in Providence, RI in 1920, he was the son of Timothy E. Callahan of County Cork, Ireland, and Katherine A. Walsh of Boston.   Tim was a proud “double Eagle”, a 1938 graduate of Boston College High School and a 1942 graduate of Boston College.

The conflict in Europe soon beckoned, and Tim became a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Force during World War II, serving in the Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland campaigns from 1943 – 1945 as a pilot of the B-26 Marauder, a medium tactical bomber.  In total he flew 65 combat missions in the European Theater of WWII, surpassing the usual quota of 25 missions.  His many military decorations include the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Purple Heart with 10 oak leaf clusters.  At the conclusion of the war Tim was a First Officer with American Airlines for four years, and in 1949 he rejoined the US Air Force until his retirement in 1968.

After the military he embarked on a second career, serving for 34 years as the Director of Veteran’s Services for the town of North Reading, a position from which he retired at age 89.  A passionate advocate for veterans and a staunch supporter of veteran’s issues, he served the town and its veterans with pride.

Possessor of a natural curiosity, he was passionate about subjects he enjoyed, including science, astronomy, aviation, history, the stock market, and jazz music. He was a voracious reader and an avid follower of world events.  But his main interest was always his family.  He loved to spend time with his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren, regaling them with stories and playing games.  He enjoyed travelling to every corner of his native New England, especially his beloved Cape Cod.  Many of these loves he passed on to his only son.

Calling hours will be at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading on Thursday, July 13, from 4-8 PM.

His Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street (Rt. 62), North Reading. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Stoneham.

AnnMarie (Ferretti) Doucette – 58, of Wilmington and formerly of North Reading, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Lahey Hospital Medical Center in Burlington, MA.

Born in Boston, MA on March 30, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Angelina (Montello) Ferretti. She was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1977 and a graduate of Emmanuel College, Class of 1981. She worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for 20 years in Anesthesia Research and worked at PAR Management for 18 years as a Certified Medical Coder.

AnnMarie would go to the ends of the earth to do anything for her family. She was a kind, loving and thoughtful wife and mother who always saw the positive in any situation. She loved gardening, cooking and planting flowers. AnnMarie enjoyed spending time with her family and her annual trip to Las Vegas. She has been a resident of Wilmington for the past 25 years.

Family members include her loving husband of 34 years, James E. Doucette; her loving sons, David J. Doucette of Bedford and Stephen R. Doucette of Brighton; her sister, Annette Fitzgerald and her husband Richard of Andover; nephew, Andrew Fitzgerald of New York; niece, Megan DeSanty of Andover; grandnephews, Brayden, Cameron and Lucas DeSanty.

Her funeral will be held from the Croswell Funeral Home 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Wednesday, July 5 at 9:15 AM, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street (Route 62) North Reading. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, July 4 from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. Ann M. (Rinciari) McGonagle – 86, of North Reading, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at Wingate at Reading. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur F. McGonagle, Jr.

Born in New York City, New York on January 9, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore C. and Rose M. (Spadafora) Rinciari.

Ann was graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy in Brighton, Class of 1948 and later attended Secretarial School. She worked for Governor Herter at the State House in Boston in the 1950’s and then became a homemaker. Ann has been a resident of North Reading since 1961.

Ann always had a great concern for others and loved her grandchildren. She was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed music, concerts, dining and musicals.

Family members include her loving daughters, Lisa Boisvert and her longtime companion, Robert Kearns of Tewksbury, Linda Parr of Wakefield and Lori Madden and her husband Thomas of Andover; her brother, Francis Rinciari and his wife June and sister-in-law, Joan McGonagle, all of North Reading; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Iudiciani and Rosalie Parr, Marie Boisvert, Tealia and Lacey Madden; a great grandson, Wesley Iudiciani.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill Street, Reading on Thursday, June 29 at 10:30 AM. There will be no calling hours.
