David M. Lopilato – 63, of North Reading, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 1, 2022.

Born in East Boston, MA on July 9, 1959. He was the son of the late Michael and Helen (Waydaka) Lopilato. David was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1977 and studied engineering at the University of Lowell.

David was self-employed as an IT Professional over his forty-year career, where he led design and technology teams for some of the largest and well known financial and health institutions.

He was known to many and a friend to all, he loved people and loved to engage them in conversation. A funny, charming and gregarious man who was quick with a joke or a goofy expression. He loved to make people laugh or astound friends with his magic tricks.  David was a natural athlete who was an avid and exceptional skier, golfer and race car driver.  Above all, he was a loving dad who never tired of watching, supporting, bragging over and loving his two children. David was never happier than he was when coaching his kids on the ice and the field, watching his son play hockey and his daughter dance on stage.

Family members include his wife Michelle (Mounsey) Lopilato; his son Nicholas “Cole” Lopilato; his daughter Alexandra “Lexi” Lopilato; his brothers Michael and Mark Lopilato and his aunt Frankie Kamlot of Lynnfield.

His visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7 from 4 to 7 PM at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street, North Reading on Monday, August 8 at 1030 AM. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. George W. Warnock – 73, of North Reading passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. 

Born on July 25, 1949, he was the son of the late John H. and Madeline (Kirk) Warnock.  George was a longtime resident of North Reading and later Reading. He was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1968.

George proudly served in the Army and completed two tours in Vietnam, later working many years in North Reading at Shower Queen Glass Company. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Moose.

George enjoyed spending time with his family, being outside gardening, building things, sports and helping others.   

George is survived by his three children Lisha Curley, Heath Warnock, and Autumn Warnock; his eight grandchildren and his loving soul mate Edie Noke.  

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5 from 4 to 7 PM at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 10:00 AM in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. Margaret D. (Ready) Leach – 94, of Jupiter, Florida and formerly of North Reading, died, July 26, 2022 at the Lourdes Noreen McKeen Skilled Nursing Home in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank H. Leach.

She was born in Lynn, MA on September 23, 1927. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Ede E. (Seaver) Ready.

She was a graduate of Charlestown High School, Class of 1945. Margaret worked for the Dynamic Research Corporation in Wilmington and also worked as a telephone operator.

She had a great love for her family and everyone. She especially loved New England and was a fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. Margaret loved music, shuffleboard, playing cards, the beach and church. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Jupiter, Florida and a former member of St. Theresa’s Church in North Reading for many years. She has been a resident of Florida for the past twenty five years.

Family members include her loving son, James B. Leach of Jupiter, FL; daughters, Debra DeFranza and Diane Green, both of Bristol, NH; grandmother of 6; she was the mother of the late Daniel and Richard Leach and Nancy Brooking; she was the sister of the late Joan Reilly, formerly of North Reading.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa’s Church in North Reading at a later date. Edward P. Surette – 68, of North Reading, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 29, 2022.

Born in Stoneham, MA on October 20, 1953. He was the son of the late Peter E., Jr. and Corinne A. (Rightmyer) Surette. Ed was a lifetime resident of North Reading. He was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1971.

He worked for Dynamics Research in Wilmington for many years. Ed was liked by everyone, no one ever said a bad word about him. Ed loved watching sports and playing them when he was younger. He enjoyed candlepin bowling and playing softball in the North Reading Men’s Softball League for many years. He loved to go to the “Big Dog” in town and having beers with his friends. He especially loved his dog “Jake” very much. Ed was a member of the North Reading Moose Lodge.

Family members include his loving brothers, Paul Surette, Peter E. Surette, III and the late Thomas Surette.

Dawnmarie Ripley – 51, of Wakefield, formerly of Lynnfield, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Born in Lynn, MA on June 24, 1971. She was raised and attended school in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Lynnfield High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Salem State and her Master’s degree from Suffolk University.

Dawn was a Clinical Therapist for many years and was an author, she published her own book to inspire others. Dawn was always trying to help others overcome the obstacles in their own lives.

She was a member of Amp Surf and a founding member of Healthy Lynnfield. Dawn has been a resident of Wakefield for the past two years.

Family members include her loving mother Joanne (Sylvester) Coppola and her late father George H. Ripley; her brother Richard Ripley and his wife Danika Ripley; her nephew, Spencer Ripley and her stepfather Charles Coppola.

Her Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, August 3 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut Street in Lynnfield. Everyone is to go to the Church.
