  2. Johnny, Brian & family & Susan
So sorry. Joan was such a big part of our family. She’ll be missed.

  3. My Dear Uncle Johnny & Brian & Susan & Kelley & Matthew & Casey

It was with such a heavy heart and deep sorrow that I read Susan’s
e-mail telling me of Aunt Joan’s passing. Once in a great while, God
shares a special angel with us here on earth, and Aunt Joan was one
of his most special angels. She was filled with kindness and love and
warmth, and her presence, and her beautiful light always lifted the spirits
of those around her, including my own.

I will never forget the Saturday afternoon when Uncle Johnny brought her
home to meet the family. I was just a little boy at the time, and when I saw her
I thought that Uncle Johnny had brought home a movie star from his days
in Hollywood. We really didn’t want to share Uncle Johnny with anyone,
but soon we found out that he found a lovely bride, just as wonderful as
he is. He found his soulmate, and they spent 57 loved filled years together,
and with their beautiful children and grandchildren who they adore.

I will always treasure my memories of their visit to Santa Monica. We had such a wonderful time together. We especially enjoyed our visit to the Bel Air
Hotel. My birthdays will never bee the same without Aunt Joan & Uncle Johnny’s
call playing the piano and singing Happy Birthday.to me. I wish they could have seen the smile on my face and the tears in my eyes when I heard them sing.
I could feel their love through the phone.

I wish there were some words I could say to comfort you, but all I can say
is I have absolutely no doubt that Aunt Joan is in Heaven with all of our
loved ones who have made the journey before her, and she will be watching over you with her unconditional love for the test of your days.

How blessed we were to have such a beautiful soul to love and to cherish.
She will live in the hearts of all of us who love her forever.

    I love you,

    Jeffrey.

  6. I just heard the sad news of Joan’s passing. I was a long time member of the St. Adelaide’s choir and Joan was our wonderful organist. She taught me a great deal about music and the organ, for which I am eternally grateful. She and John spent time in my home entertaining at Christmas parties. I will miss her greatly. Warm Gerard’s to John and his family.

  7. I just found out Joan passed. I worked with her many times singing for funerals. We did “My Fair Lady” together many years ago. I was Eliza and she was my maid, Mrs. Pierce. My love and prayers to her family on the loss of such a wonderful lady.
