James P. Mckinnon

James P. Mckinnon – 59, of Myrtle Beach SC, died with his loving family surrounding him at home on February 29, 2020.

Born in Boston, MA, on Nov. 19, 1960. He was the son of the late Maxwell and Amelia (Mitzi) Mckinnon formerly of North Reading.

Family members include, his Loving wife of 27 years, Ivana (Eva) Mckinnon of Myrtle Beach, SC; sons, Maxwell M. Mckinnon of Myrtle Beach, SC and James P. Mckinnon, Jr. of East Boston; brother, Robert M. Mckinnon of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, James Grover of MA; sister and brother-In- law, Jane and Peter Harris; mother- in- law, Jana Machane; and his favorite three nephews, Devon, Trevor and Pete Harris, all of Tewksbury, also many cousins he loved.

Jamie lived at Martins Pond in North Reading most of his life. He graduated from North Reading High School, Class of 1978.

He was an AVID Boston Sports Fan and would always think he knew all the stats of every player and team, even if he was wrong. He was a very skilled craftsman and could build you anything you asked for. He loved the outdoors and camping, he also loved playing golf with his friends and even moved his family out to Myrtle Beach to play golf year-round. Most of all, Jamie loved to spend time with his family, he had an infectious smile and will definitely be missed by all.

Visitation will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Thursday, March 12th from 5 to 6:45 PM, followed by a Funeral service at starting at 7 PM.   4. Jamie and I met in 2013, when five of us hired in together. We all started as co workers but quickly became a group of lasting friends. He was a great guy and fun to hang out with in our “fun filled” meetings. RIP my friend. My heart and condolences go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.
