  1. My family and I cherish the fond memories we have of having Ralph and Ellie as neighbors and dear friends at 35 Burroughs Rd. in North Reading. They were wonderful people. Ellie used to babysit me and my sister Katherine and she was so much fun! We enjoyed many games of Go Fish and her carefully-planned, made-with-love snacks. She was a great neighbor, always full of smiles and laughter. We send our condolences, prayers, and love at this difficult time.

  5. I am so sorry to hear of Ellie’s passing. She was the next door neighbor to my Dad at Peabody Court in early 2000. She was a very kind and caring person. I could always depend on Ellie to check in on my Dad. She was a good neighbor and friend to him. My deepest sympathies to her loved ones.

  6. Ellie has been a wonderful friend to our family since for many years. We met in the 1970s, while feeding the ducks in front of her house at Martin’s Pond. She lived a hard life but never complained, just got on with things and made the best of it. Through it all, she had a wonderful sense of humor, was quick to laugh and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known — as well as the world’s best Yahtzee player. The entire Dukeshire family will miss her dearly. Debbie, Pam, Janet and Mickey Dukeshire.
