  3. DANNY LEACH: AKA COWBOY. I met him when he played with the House Shakers. He was the drummer with them when they did the Jam Session at The Junkyard. I sat in on his drum set many times. He was Always a Gentleman and Supportive and Complementary of other Drummers. He was a solid player and was labeled The Best Shuffle Drummer Ever! Ronnie Bird Foster gave him That Moniker. Ronnie played Drums for Roy Buchanan he would know. Cowboy and I had many conversations about our experiences playing with different bands and became solid Friends. Prayers for Comfort and Peace for his family and ALL of Us THAT WILL MISS HIM. RIP My Friend

  8. We played together in Lowdown13, he was an awesome drummer in our blues band. We were so lucky, he was very kind and we got to know his Mother and brother Jimmy which was very nice. I was lucky to see Danny 9 days before he passed, I ran into him outside the Lyric Theater, Jimmie Vaughan had just played and it was a who’s who of local musician standouts in a three county area, I heard an energetic voice and locked eye’s on Danny, he got my attention! He was so thrilled as within 15′ was the core of Lowdown 13, bassist Steve Strickland, Danny and myself all ran into each other serendipitously, totally unplanned. It was surreal, having just enjoyed one of our blues hero’s performance. Danny was the best shuffle drummer. Amazing how he could play all the different urban rudiments with such ease. Never a show off, always providing the right beat to the right song. Rest well Danny!
    Till next time.
