Laura A. McLaughlin – 61, of North Reading and formerly of Woburn, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Born in Winchester, MA on July 31, 1964. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ann Catherine (Glennon) McLaughlin.

Laura was a graduate of Newton Country Day of the Sacred Heart School and attended Saint Anselm College. She was an accountant for SPEC Engineering.

Laura was a devoted partner for 17 years, a loving sister, a fiercely loyal friend, and a second mother to her niece and nephews. No matter the circumstance, she always showed up for the people she loved. Her warmth and generosity were contagious, and time spent with her was filled with laughter, joy and unforgettable memories.

A passionate football and sports fan, she especially loved cheering on her Boston teams. She helped shape the lives of so many, and her love, loyalty, and presence will never be forgotten.

Family members include her loving partner of 17 years, Michael Fritsch; her sister, Ellen Santo and her husband James; her brothers, Robert McLaughlin and his wife Debbie London and the late Thomas McLaughlin; 5 loving nieces and nephews, Thomas McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife AnnMarie, Justin McLaughlin and his fiancé Julianne Curro, James Santo Jr., Ryan Santo and his fiancé Eva Gourdeau and Katherine Santo; grandnephews, Jack, Charlie and Brady McLaughlin. Also survived by Michael’s children; Dana Fritsch and his wife Lindsay and their daughter Haylie and Michael’s daughters, Mikayla and Madison Fritsch.

Her Funeral will be held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Saturday, January 3 at 9:15 AM, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street, North Reading. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 2 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
