Cynthia V. (Livingston) Dompier – 83, of Andover and formerly of North Reading, died Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the Bear Mountain Nursing Center in Reading. She was the beloved wife of the late Gordon R. Dompier.

Born in North Reading, MA on July 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary M. (Burrows) Livingston. Cindy was raised and attended school in North Reading and was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1955. Cindy lived in North Reading until 1967 and resided in Andover for over 40 years with her husband. She relocated back to North Reading at the time of his death.

Cindy worked as a secretary for many years at TASC in Reading. After her retirement she worked for the North Reading Transcript.

She was an avid collector of vintage dolls. She enjoyed creating and sewing outfits. She won several blue ribbons at local fairs for her collections. Cindy also enjoyed gardening.

Family members include her loving sisters, the late Eleanor White and her surviving husband Kenneth of Nashua, NH, Janice Novasad of North Reading and her husband Michael; her Late sister Aldana Greene and her late husband Leonard of Greene, ME, her late brother Ervin Livingston and his surviving wife Carol Livingston of Andover. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 30 at 11 AM at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. There will be no calling hours. Marjorie Ann Marshall – 91, of Peabody, formerly of Cromwell, CT and Reading, MA, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Winchester Hospital.

Born in Rutland, VT on August 19, 1929. She was the daughter of the late David and E. Marjorie (Baker) Marshall.

Marjorie was graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1947, Boston University graduating with her B.S. Degree in Education in 1951 and her Master’s Degree in Education in 1952.

Marjorie was a Teacher and Guidance Counselor for the Wilmington Public Schools, from 1952 to 1974. She was a member of the Wilmington Teachers’ Association, Massachusetts School Teachers Association, Middlesex County Teacher’s Association, Massachusetts School Counselors Association, Merrimack Valley Guidance Association, New England and American Personnel & Guidance Associations, Massachusetts Association of Women Deans & Counselors, New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, Alpha Phi International Sorority and State Alumnae Chairman, she was a member of the Wilmington Women’s Club and the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.

Marjorie was an active member of the Union Congregational Church in North Reading for many years. She served as Religious Education Director, Board of Deacons, Entre Nous Circle President, Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Worship Committee. In Connecticut she was a member of the Covenant Congregational Church in Cromwell, CT and in the Covenant Village of Cromwell, a Library Committee Chairman. She was president of the Scottish Club at Brooksby Village.

Family members include her loving brother David W. Marshall and his late wife Bette (Clark) Marshall; her niece Laura Elisabeth and her husband Timothy Beaulieu and her nephews, David Scott Marshall and his wife Melinda McIntire and James Clark Marshall.  She was also survived by eight great nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held at the Union Congregational Church, 148 Haverhill Street, North Reading on Tuesday, May 4th at 11:00 AM. Everett F. Leonard -of North Reading, age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 21, 2021. Everett was born in Pomfret, VT to Richard and Marietta (Billings) Leonard. Everett was a graduate of Woodstock Union High School and received his Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of St. Louis. He honorably served his country as a Radio Operator on a C-119, “The Flying Boxcar”, in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952.

After working at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Everett returned to the New England area to work at AVCO Everett Research Lab, later Textron Systems, as a Flight Test Engineer and Manager, working on several projects including the B1 Bomber.

Everett was a resident of North Reading for 60 years. He was a charter member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, was President of the North Reading Little League, coach of several youth baseball teams and supportive of many other local organizations.

A devoted husband and father, Everett is survived by his loving Wife of 67 years Molly (Jerger) Leonard; Son Jim and partner Sarah; Daughter Marianne and beloved Granddaughter Samantha. Everett was one of six Leonard boys including his surviving brother Rodney Leonard, and the late Richard Leonard, Gordon Leonard, Wendall Leonard, and Ronald Leonard. Everett was extremely proud of all family members, including many cherished nieces and nephews.

He loved to fly and owned several single engine airplanes and to the delight of his children and family members, would take them flying often. Everett played tennis into his 80’s and enjoyed other activities such as hiking, skiing, canoeing, camping and taking trips all over the country in the family RV. He also enjoyed the companionship and competitiveness of a local bridge group. Everett’s family referred to him as Mr. Fix-it as he was often building, renovating, constructing – doing anything necessary around the house.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Visiting Hours on Monday, April 26th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading, Massachusetts. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 27th at the Riverside Cemetery on Rose Hill Road, Woodstock, VT.

Kenneth Kido – 89, of North Reading, died on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Bear Hill Nursing Home in Stoneham.

Born in Los Angeles, CA on October 23,1931  he was the son of the late Toshio and Sarah Kido. He lived in Los Angeles until he and his family was moved to the Poston Arizona Internment Camp for Japanese Americans during World War II. After the war, the family relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. He was drafted by the Army and served overseas in the Korean War, where he received two Bronze Stars.

After he returned from the war, he attended University of Missouri and studied electrical engineering.  He worked as an electrical engineer in the Aerospace industry. He worked for AC Spark Plug General Motors, MIT Instrumentation Lab, and Draper Lab.

He was an Avid golfer, enthusiast of Boston sports teams and enjoyed playing bridge. He also played in a bowling league for many years. He loved to watch his children play sports, his daughter, Tami, playing soccer and basketball and his son, Chris, playing soccer and hockey. He has been a resident of North Reading since 1968.

Ken overcame incredible hardships after spending several years of his childhood in the WWII Japanese Internment camps and spending several years overseas in the Army during the Korean War. He was incredibly smart and made tremendous contributions to NASA through his work at MIT Instrumentation Lab and Draper Lab, where he worked on the guidance systems for the Apollo program and Space Shuttle program for over 25 years.

Family members include his son Christopher Kido, his daughter Tamiko Kido; his late sister Jean Yaeko Marshall; 4 grandchildren, Addison Kido, Andrew Kido, Maiya Levine and Samantha Levine. He was the former husband of Susan Burton (Ulson).

Edward  J.  Wagner,  Jr. – 58, of Reading and formerly of North Reading, died at his home on Friday, April 16, 2021, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Melrose, MA on June 23, 1962. He was raised and attended public schools in North Reading. He graduated from the North East Tractor Trailer School. Ed was a truck driver and mechanic for J & M Fast Freight and also worked as a grounds keeper for the Town of Lynnfield. He was a member of the North Reading Masonic Lodge for many years.

Ed had a love for adventure, he loved being on his motorcycle. He was always helpful and he had a great sense of humor. He loved cookouts with his family, gardening, building things in his wood shop, long motorcycle rides in the mountains, camping and especially spending time with his daughters and grandson.

Family members include his beloved wife Kathleen (O’Keefe) Wagner; his loving daughters, Jennifer Wagner and Kaitlyn Wagner; his mother Barbara M. (Tilley) Webb and her late husbands Charles Webb and Edward J. Wagner, Sr.; his sister Diane Greene and her husband John; his grandson Robbie Larochelle; his step-sons, A.J. O’Keefe and Sean Davis; his step-sister Patricia Meehan and her husband David; his nephew Aaron Greene, nieces, Kristen Prioleau and Jaclyn Hollingsworth.
