John H. Fritsch

John  H.Fritsch – 66, of Milford, NH, formerly of Salisbury and North Reading, died at his home on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.

Born in New York City, New York on March 7, 1951. He was graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1969, North Shore Community College and Southern Maine Technical Institute.

John worked for over thirty years for Veolia North America, managing waste water, super fund ground water remediation and drinking water facilities.

John’s sense of humor was quite unique and entertaining. He always saw the good in people and was a true gentleman. His love of family and friends made him so special and his love of animals was heartwarming. He loved fishing, the outdoors, hiking, gardening, traveling with his wife Eileen and his love for his dog.

He has been a resident of Milford, NH for the past thirty years. He was a member of the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission, New Hampshire Water Pollution Control Association on the Education Community. John was a true Stewart to the Environment.

Family members include his loving wife of 29 years, Eileen M. (Fournier) Fritsch; his mother, Eleanor (Billharz) Fritsch of North Reading and his late father John G. Fritsch; his stepson, Sean E. O’Brien of Milford, NH and stepdaughter, Robyn Smith and her husband Bob of Exeter, NH; his grandchildren, Emma O’Brien of North Carolina and Ryan Martin of Salisbury; his brother, Mike Fritsch and his companion Laura McLaughlin of North Reading and his late sister, Martha E. Fritsch; nieces, Madison and Mikayla Fritsch and Stacy Fournier; his nephew, Dana Fritsch and his wife Lindsay and their daughter, Haylie Fritsch.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street (Rt. 62), North Reading on Saturday, September 16 at 11 AM. Calling hours will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Friday, September 15 from 4 to 7 PM. Ronald J. Wells

Ronald J. Wells  79, of North Andover, formerly of Stoneham and Melrose, died at his home, surrounded by his family on Monday, August 21, 2017. He was the loving husband of the late Bettiann (MacLeod) Wells, who died in 2014.

Born in Everett, MA on June 16, 1938. He was the son of the late Victor and Edna (Chambers) Wells. He was a graduate of Melrose High School and served in the U.S. Army.

Ron was the Business Manager for the Kirkwood Nursing Home in Wakefield for many years. He loved to travel with his wife Bettiann, he loved playing Black Jack, he was an avid football fan and was an excellent piano player.

Family members include his stepdaughters, Lynda Renzello of North Andover and Lynett Larkin-Silva and her husband Carl of Freeport, ME; grandchildren, Dalyn, David and Dean Renzello and his wife Chelsey and Sydney and Gabriel Silva; great granddaughter, Rylee Renzello.

Funeral service will be held at the Union Congregational Church, 148 Haverhill Street, North Reading on Thursday, August 24 at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Wednesday, August 23 from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.

Janet A. Predko

Mrs. Janet A. (Campbell) Predko, 66, of Kennesaw, GA died Tuesday, August 2, 2017 after a brief illness.

She was born to C. Sutton and Lydia Campbell on October 4, 1950 in Winchester, MA.  She resided in North Reading, MA with her parents and younger sister where she graduated from North Reading High School in 1968.  She then attended nursing school at Salem Hospital School of Nursing.  Her Registered Nursing career encompassed Salem Hospital, John T. Berry Rehabilitation Center and various psychiatric facilities in New Hampshire. She was still working as a Psychiatric Nurse Case Manager in Georgia for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield until her passing.

On May 19, 1973, she married the late Peter Predko with whom she had three children.  They resided in North Reading, MA until moving to Londonderry, NH in 1984.  In October of 2005 they relocated to Kennesaw, GA to be close to their first grandson. 

Janet loved spending time with her family and attending events with her two Red Hat groups.  Her many hobbies included reading, crocheting, playing Skip-Bo with her sister and cribbage with her best friend, Richie.  She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and watched every episode of every show on HGTV, sometimes twice.

She is preceded in death by Peter, her husband of 41 years.  She is survived by her daughter Amanda Leonard and her husband Brian of Kennesaw, GA; her daughter Rebecca Predko of Alpharetta, GA; and her son Nicholas Predko and his fiancé Lisa Santilli of Stratham, NH.  She is also survived by her two grandchildren Ian and Sarah Leonard of Kennesaw, GA; her sister Susan Horton and brother-in-law Charles of Windermere, FL; nephew Douglas Horton and his wife Randi Horton and great nieces Katie and Jenny Horton all of Palm Harbor, FL.  She is also survived by her best friends Richard Triconi of Spring Hill, FL and Joyce Bryson of Bellingham, MA and her three aunts and many cousins.  She is also survived by her three grand-dogs, Abby Mae, Nero and Nox.

A Celebration of Life was held at her home in Kennesaw, GA in August.  An interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery at 171 Elm Street, North Reading, MA on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30am followed by a luncheon reception at Teresa’s Function Facilities at 20 Elm Street, North Reading, MA.

Sheila M. Hall

Sheila  M. (Ewing) Hall – 70, of Lynnfield and formerly of West Peabody, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Born in Lynn, MA on August 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Doarine (Morse) Ewing. Sheila was a housewife and a resident of Lynnfield for the past 53 years.

Sheila was a founding member of Sebastian River Embroidery Guild Inc., Sebastian Quilters of Sebastian, FL and a Charter member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, Chapter No. 11.

Family members include her loving husband of 53 years, Harold Hall; her son, James Hall of Ipswich; daughters, Julie Flaherty and husband Michael of Henniker, NH and Michelle Dalelio of Lynnfield; brothers, John Robert Ewing of Ossipee, NH and Daniel Ewing of Beverly; 7 grandchildren, Jamie, Colby and Marina Hall, David Flaherty, Alex, James and Jacquelynne Dalelio and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral service at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Sunday, July 23 at 6 PM. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4 to 5:45 PM.
