Ruth A. Lucci

Ruth LucciRuth A. (Woods) Lucci – 69, of North Andover and formerly of North Reading, died at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 5, 2016.

Born in Charlestown, MA on November 5, 1946. She was the daughter of the late John L. and Ruth (Joyce) Woods. Ruth was a homemaker and has been a resident of North Andover for the past 4 years. She was raised and attended school in  North Reading and was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Ruth was a proud wife, mother, sister, aunt and most of all nana. She was the caretaker and protector of her entire family all her life. She was a mother figure to all children and a favorite auntie to many of her nieces and nephews. She always remembered everyone’s birthdays in the entire extended family. Ruth was the life of the party and enjoyed many great get-togethers with her family over the years.

Ruth loved playing and specifically winning at 500 Rummy. She enjoyed trips down to the casinos to play the slot machines, she loved to crochet and made many pieces for all of the babies in her life.

Family members include her loving husband of 37 years, Anthony W. Lucci; sons, Thomas Williams, Wayne Williams and Anthony I. Lucci;  her daughter, Clementina (Tina) Lucci; brothers, John Woods, William Woods and Daniel Woods; sisters, Marsha Pierce and Kathleen Roberts,  4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; she was the sister of the late Michael, Tom and Paul (Buddy) Woods.

Her funeral will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Friday, June 10 at 10:00 AM. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 9 from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
