Ronald J. Wells  79, of North Andover, formerly of Stoneham and Melrose, died at his home, surrounded by his family on Monday, August 21, 2017. He was the loving husband of the late Bettiann (MacLeod) Wells, who died in 2014.

Born in Everett, MA on June 16, 1938. He was the son of the late Victor and Edna (Chambers) Wells. He was a graduate of Melrose High School and served in the U.S. Army.

Ron was the Business Manager for the Kirkwood Nursing Home in Wakefield for many years. He loved to travel with his wife Bettiann, he loved playing Black Jack, he was an avid football fan and was an excellent piano player.

Family members include his stepdaughters, Lynda Renzello of North Andover and Lynett Larkin-Silva and her husband Carl of Freeport, ME; grandchildren, Dalyn, David and Dean Renzello and his wife Chelsey and Sydney and Gabriel Silva; great granddaughter, Rylee Renzello.

Funeral service will be held at the Union Congregational Church, 148 Haverhill Street, North Reading on Thursday, August 24 at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Wednesday, August 23 from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
