margaret moretto picMargaret  D. (Kelly) “Peggi” Moretto – 76, of Wakefield, formerly of South Boston and North Reading, died at her home on Saturday, May 28, 2016.

Born in Boston, MA on July 12, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Spaulding) Kelly.

Peggi always put herself last.  She was most giving, generous and loving person. She would do anything for anyone. She was proud of her Hospice volunteer work. Her happiest memories included spending time with her grandchildren and summering in Rockport and Jellystone Park with her family.

Family members include her loving sons, Charles Moretto and his wife Jeanne of Weymouth, Anthony Moretto and his wife Melissa of Methuen, Steven Moretto of San Diego, CA, Gary Moretto and his wife Jen of Wilmington and Richard Moretto of Boston; her daughter, Christine MacHugh and her husband Phillip of Wakefield; 11 cherished grandchildren, Becky, Beth, Annie, Charly, Toni, Lee, Jenna, Garett, Tess, Charles, Gia and Tulley and a great grandchild, Jordan;  she was the wife of the late Charles Moretto, sister of the late James M. “Jim” Kelly and Elizabeth Lynch. She left behind many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her funeral will be held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Thursday, June 2, at 9:15 AM, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street (Rt. 62), North Reading. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 1 from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.   2. I met Peggi while working at MHTL. She was a kind and loving person. Sadened to hear about her passing. My condolences go out to her family whom she always cherished! May her memory be eternal.

  4. I met Peggy through her her Mother, brother Jim and Liz. What a great person she was and so caring to all. She was a very caring person. She loved her family,grandchildren and friends. She will be missed.
