Genevieve Miller

Genevieve (Bialozenski) Miller – 99 1/2, of North Reading and formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Miller.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 19, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Juras) Bialozenski. She has been a resident of North Reading for the past 12 years living with her daughter’s family and a member of St. Theresa’s Church. She was a former member of St. Theresa’s Little Flower Church in Baltimore, Maryland for many years.

Genevieve lovingly took care of her elderly parents, she was “Rosey The Riveter” during the war and also worked for the Post Office. She had a sharp mind and was an excellent baker and cook, “she will be remembered for her extremely thin sugar cookies”. Genevieve was very independent, she walked with her wheelchair and lifted weights at 99. She enjoyed going out to dinner and talking about current events. She was honest and gave good advice when needed.

Genevieve liked watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, with her grandsons and family. She was very active, and constantly was making puzzles. On her IPAD she painted pictures and played Sudoku and FreeCell. She was a devout Catholic and went to Mass regularly.

Family members include her loving daughter, Darlene Ressler and her husband Andrew; her son, Joseph A. Miller of Macungie, PA and like a son, Gerald Musial and his wife Linda of Sarasota, FL; two grandsons, Andrew Ressler, II and Joseph Ressler; nieces Kathleen Dierolf of Reading Pa, Eileen Hanley of Towson, MD; nephews John Jakubowski of Dundalk Md, and Richard White of Baltimore, Maryland.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading, followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street, North Reading. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to your favorite charity, or her favorite, the American Lung Association.
